CILA is an initiative connecting designers in order to create collaborative projects. The initiative works with various communities and creates projects for the target community together with students and designers.
CILA strives to bring together different disciplines and to form a collaborative community that encourages the integration of design knowledge with financial-economic knowledge.

Our Model

So how did it all begin?
CILA was founded by Kim Munoz Salazar, who holds a B.Sc. in textile design and a master's degree in design design from Shenkar College. She is currently the director of social projects at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Entrepreneurship.
Nine years ago, when Kim was a fourth-year textile design student at Shenkar, she and her classmate started the first pop-up store in the Tel Aviv port called "FASH". The store's agenda was to give a stage to young Israeli designers and artists. In its 10 months of operation, FASH has exhibited over 80 designers and has become a huge success.


Kim remembers that they established the FASH without support or advice from the system in which they studied as students and to succeed they learned while doing and discovered a new world of concepts and language were not familiar with it.
On the day FASH closed, Kim immediately thought of a place that could be home to students and young adults who have dreams and aspirations but do not have the financial skills and knowledge they need. A place where you can share and consult exactly as you did in the academic incubator, where you will be able to receive both a design and a business solution.
